My winter preserves, citrus cooking class is hands-on. You will make all the preserves as a group and take home the class bounty. Don’t worry, I will be there to help you along the way!
This class is suitable for beginners as well as advanced cooks who wish to learn new skills and techniques. You will learn that preserving your citrus fruit is not as hard as you think. I will teach you techniques that you can use an impress everyone with your own marmalades, cordials and pickles.
What’s included in winter preserves, citrus at Jacican
An apron and gardening gloves to use during the class are supplied along with a take-home recipe booklet. Afternoon tea will be served in this winter preserve cooking class including tea, coffee and homemade lemonade. Almond and soy milk are always available along with caffeine-free hot beverages. This class is suitable for gluten-free or vegan dietary requirements.
What you need to bring
Nothing! Jacican supplies everything that you will need to pick and make your own winter preserves, citrus. We just ask that you wear closed-toe shoes as we will be outside in the kitchen garden for part of the class.
This citrus cooking class is seasonally and can only be offered as a private class for groups of up to 6 guests when seasonal fruit and vegetables are in abundance in the Jacican kitchen garden. For more information on arranging a private class, please contact Jacican.
